Ostrich Fern - Matteuccia struthiopteris var. pensylvanica

Scientific name - Matteuccia struthiopteris
Plant Description - Fern that grows best in moist to wet soil and part sun to full shade. Grows up to 2-3'. This plant is edible, and medicinal. These plants will grow well in moist woodland sites, wild gardens, rain gardens, and wet borders by streams or ponds.
Native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, as well as other regions of Ontario.
