- Scientific name - Monarda didyma
- Plant Description - Summer flowers that grow in moist to dry, drought tolerant soil and full to part sun. Grows up to 2-5'. This plant is edible, medicinal, aromatic. Attracts butterflies, beneficial insects, birds, mammals, and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Petals and leaves can be used for tea.
- Native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, as well as other regions in Ontario.
