Plant Description - Flowers from summer to early autumn and grows in moist to wet soil and full sun. Grows up to 9' but can be cut down through the growing season and it will regrow. This plant has edible spring shoots and leaves that resemble celery. It makes a great privacy hedge. Attracts butterflies, beneficial insects, birds and mammals. Deer resistant. Juglone tolerant. Spreads aggressively by rhizomes. This is a keystone species, meaning it is critical for a number of native insects to complete their life cycle.
