- Scientific name - Cornus canadensis
- Plant Description - Spring to early summer flowers that grow in moist soil, full to part shade, and all soil types. Prefers acidic soil, and is a great groundcover under mature blueberries. Grows up to 6"- 1'. This plant is edible, medicinal, aromatic. Attracts butterflies, beneficial insects, and birds. Great ground cover under blueberries and in shade gardens.
- Native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, as well as other regions in Ontario.
