Plant Description - Fall flowers. Grows in a range of soils and will tolerate clay. Prefers wet to moist soil, and full sun to part shade but will tolerate dry soils, and is drought tolerant. Grows 2-4 feet. This plant has edible flowers. Attracts birds, insects, butterflies, and is an important nectar source for migrating monarch butterflies. Rabbit tolerant.
Native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, as well as other regions in Ontario.
