- Scientific Name - Panicum virgatum
- Plant Description - Late summer to autumn flowers that grow in all soil types including clay and sand, wet to dry soil, and full sun. Grows up to 2-7' tall. This plant is great for erosion control. It is drought tolerant, juglone tolerant, and salt tolerant. Good livestock forage.
- Native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, as well as other regions of Ontario.
