Plant Description - Summer flowers that grow in moist to wet soil and full to part sun. Grows in all soil types. Grows up to 5'. This plant is a nitrogen fixer and has medicinal qualities. Attracts butterflies, beneficial insects, and birds. Long, black seed pods create winter interest in gardens, and is favoured by wild turkeys.
Not native to the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, Grey County nor Bruce County, but native to other regions in Ontario.
